In June, PEOPLE confirmed Perry and Bloom, 48, had ended their engagement, marking the end of their nine-year relationship. In the months since the split, Perry has moved on with former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau. While Perry hasn’t expressly revealed her lyrical muse, “Bandaids” is the singer’s first new release since the singer and Orlando Bloom ended their engagement. Us Weekly broke the news in June that Perry and Bloom, 48, called off their nuptials after nearly a decade together.
After recording the stripped-down live album MTV Unplugged (2009), Perry returned to the studio. Perry’s initial efforts at mainstream stardom were fruitless, with two separate record labels signing and subsequently dropping her before any material was released. In 2007, however, Capitol Records put out Perry’s EP Ur So Gay, which attracted modest attention for its cheerfully flippant title track. She made a greater splash several months later with the single “I Kissed a Girl,” an assertive ode to sexual curiosity backed by a hard-edged electro-pop beat.
Perry has since been spotted spending time with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and confirmed she was “dating someone else” during her recent concert in Prague. “Your vulnerability is what makes you relatable and why many of us love you! Though Perry wrote that it’s “scary to be vulnerable,” fans thanked her for her authenticity on “Bandaids” in the comments of her Instagram post. “Bandaids” is Perry’s first single since her breakup with actor Orlando Bloom, and seems to provide insight into why their relationship fell apart.

On Thursday, the pop queen released her single “Bandaids,” a surprise, mid-tour breakup song seemingly inspired by the end of her relationship with Orlando Bloom. The music video for the track speaks to many of the dejected emotions one might feel after the end of a relationship. In one scene, she sits on a tree branch and saws it off the tree, sending her crashing down to the ground. In another, she nearly gets crushed by a speeding train, only to see a single daisy growing out of the tracks – a sweet nod to her five-year-old daughter. Elsewhere, she drops a ring in the kitchen sink and slices her hand on the garbage disposal blades.

We especially like the gobi manchurian that stays sturdy under the weight of a sticky and tangy glaze, plus smoky angara butter chicken and a comforting bhindi masala. Come here for a birthday dinner with a big group, or get dishes to go—Kanishka’s so popular they have an entire separate space next door dedicated to take-out. A converted home with a great front patio serves the town’s favorite homegrown pizza, from the same owners as Woodblock.

Sources include third-party partners, direct research, hoteliers feedback, and machine-learning inference that examines and evaluates hotel attributes, like price, location, room size, and amenities. A 2-star hotel may have modest rooms and economy pricing, while a 4-star hotel could feature upscale decor, a dedicated concierge, and luxury amenities. This policy requires that prices they send to Google must include taxes and fees, and must match the total price you pay on their booking page. To help ensure that the prices partners display on Google are the prices you pay, we regularly check prices for accuracy.
